Do I need to be home?

Not at all. We will look after your property like it was our own and ensure it is secured when we leave if required. You will receive a text to let you know that there is a staff member from 1300 4 Gardening on their way to your property, as well as a calling card when they leave.

How often should I get my lawn mowed?

The short answer is as much as possible. The more you look after your lawn, the better it will be. In saying this, we understand this can be difficult and costly. From our 20 years of experience, we have found that 20 mows a year will keep a lawn in a neat and tidy maintained state.. This is based on every 2 weeks in summer, every 4 weeks in winter and every 3 weeks in between. The amount of rain and heat determines when each transition occurs, and varies from year to year. Remember if you are fertilising, aerating and watering this will be required to be done a lot more frequently, but you will have the best looking lawn in the street.

Will herbicides affect my pets?

They certainly can. This does all depend on the job required and the herbicide used. We have all the MSDS sheets for the chemicals we use on our website site. Please see link below to view or call the office to speak to one of our friendly staff..

What are my options for payment?

We have a large range of payment options at 1300 4 Gardening. We have full Credit Card facilities (Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Debit Card), paypal, direct deposit, cash or cheque. We do not charge fees for any of the forms of payment we accept.

We require credit card details to secure your booking, unless paying by cash or cheque upon completion of the work.  If credit card is your chosen method of payment, then it will be charged upon completion of the work.  If you wish to make payment by other means( direct deposit, paypal ), then you have 7 days to make payment. If you have not made payment by the due date, then the credit card provided for securing the booking will be charged the following day.

Will I be notified prior to gardeners attending my property?

You certainly will. At 1300 4 Gardening we are able to send you a text the day before your service, as well as one from your Garden detailer when he is on route to your property. This is used with google maps so will give you an ETA of their arrival. Please notify our office when making your booking if you would like this service.

What if the service takes longer than expected?

It is up to our staff to complete the job in the correct amount of time according to the quote. If there are any delays, these are at the expense of 1300 4 Gardening.  If however, you request any extra work or materials to be used outside the quoted work, these will be charged in accordance with our standard charges.

Is there a minimum charge for a job?

Our prices start from $45 for any job required.

Do you provide a Tax Invoice?

Yes. However, the gardener on site will not have this with him, but the office will send a tax invoice or receipt when the job is completed.This will either be emailed or posted to you.

Do you take away waste?

All rubbish created by 1300 4 Gardening will be removed from site, unless specifically quoted otherwise. Any extra rubbish outside the scope of works will be charged accordingly.

Does the weather delay my service?

At 1300 4 Gardening we are one of the larger garden detailing providers and will do everything for this not to happen. However rain can make it not safe or effective for our staff to complete certain works. We would not recommend spraying lawns for selective or weeds if the rain conditions are heavy. Most mowing jobs will be completed unless the weather is extreme. If this does happen for any reason YOU will be made a priority and completed as soon as conditions improve or upon your requested time.

Do I need to supply anything?

We will organise all tools and materials for the job required.

Do you work weekends?

Yes, we are able to work weekends. Please note that the quote will be higher to cover the cost of overtime rates, in accordance with our staff award.

Do I need to be home?

Can you book a specific time for a quote/job?

Yes, you certainly can. All quotes can be booked in for a specific time, but please note that you do not need to be there if you are not available.  Our staff can call you from site, if they have any questions regarding your quote request. As the time and travel for our jobs varies each day, if you require our staff to attend your property at a set time, we recommend booking in as the first job of the day (7am).

Can I cancel or reschedule a job?

You certainly can do this. We require one days notice. If the gardener is turned away on the day the service is scheduled, there will be a $25 call out fee.

Do you tidy up after yourself?

We certainly do. If we move something ie chairs, kids toys, we will endeavour to put it back where it came from. All items agreed upon will also be removed from site.

Do you have a ride-on mower?

We certainly do. We have catching ride ons, mulch mowing ride ons and slashers.

How long will the job take?

This will all depend on the job required. 1300 4 Gardening is a bigger garden detailing company so we are able to send multiple vehicles and staff if required to complete any size job.
